14 DAY TRIAL // Mac Walters, lead writer working on the Mass Effect series, says that the current run of the Foundation comic book built around the Mass Effect universe is not designed to create a link to a fourth game in the series.
He tells Complex that, “These were very much intended to be something that adds to the existing world rather than bridge into something new.”
A new Mass Effect game is already in development at the studio, but the team has not offered any sort of details on it and has suggested that it will have no link to the saga of Commander Shepard.
At the same time, Walters says that his team is already planning companion comic books for the new title because they are a good tool to add more dimensions to the stories told.
BioWare is currently working on a new Dragon Age title, called Inquisition, which will be launched in late 2014.
