Video game developer BioWare has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Extra Life in order to raise money for a charitable cause.

The company will be supporting a 24-hour game marathon in Edmonton and all the money raised will be given to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

The blog post reads: “Extra Life will be holding their 24 hour gaming marathon October 20-21 and they are looking for donations as well as local Edmonton gamers interested in playing games to help raise money for this excellent charity. BioWare is supporting this event with some awesome prizes for the Silent Auction as well as helping promote the event.”

More information on the event can be found on the official page of Extra Life or in the image that is attached to this blog post.

BioWare has a studio located in Edmonton and it makes sense for the development team to support the local community through gaming.
