The much-teased first piece of downloadable content for BioShock Infinite is being announced and launched today, under the name Clash in the Clouds.

The team at Irrational Games is delivering a battle arena mode for the game, which uses the combat mechanics to create a wave-based experience that will challenge even the most experienced of players.

The team says that Clash in the Clouds is designed to allow gamers to “combine weapons, Vigors, Gear, Tears, and Sky-Lines in new ways among 60 challenges in four brand-new environments.”

Between battles, gamers can use points and cash to get ammo and vigor from a hub area and there are some secondary objectives for those who want an even tougher challenge.

Clash in the Clouds for BioShock should be out on the PC via Steam soon and will then also be delivered on the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live service for 5 dollars or Euro.
