The development team at Irrational Games announces that the first story-based downloadable content for BioShock Infinite is called Burial at Sea and will take players back to Rapture, which has been completely rebuilt using the engine of the game.

Players will be able to once more roam the underwater locations they know so well and meet up with some of the characters from the first BioShock title.

The story of Burial at Sea will be focused on Booker and Elizabeth, but the first released trailer strongly suggests that these are parallel universe versions of the protagonists.

The team states, “Gameplay has been modified to give the player an original BioShock combat experience that merges the best parts of BioShock and BioShock Infinite.”

Burial at Sea is part of the BioShock Infinite Season Pass and no launch date has yet been announced.
