Video game developer Edmund McMillen is ready to reveal that one of the new characters that gamers will be able to use in the upcoming Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is named Eden and that more will be included, but no info will be offered on them before the game is launched.

In the official announcement, the game creator explains that, “I’m spoiling Eden, because they have been spoiled in the past. Eden is the fabled ‘mystery man’ I’ve talked about in interviews before i had a fully realized idea of what they would become… see Eden isn’t a man, nor are they a woman… they just are.”

Eden is entirely randomly generated, which is something that the fan base for Binding of Isaac has requested since the game was launched.

All stats for the character will be evenly randomized when the original selection is made, in order to make sure that the entire build is playable. At the same time, Eden will get one random pick up item and will also get access to two of the normal starting ones.

A white hair style is added to Eden and then Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is launched.

The developer says that the rewards that gamers will get when beating the game using the new characters are well worth the effort, but also believes that the random element might not be suited for a portion of the player base.

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a remake of the title that will add extra content and will include the Wrath of the Lamb expansion.
