Guillaume de Fondaumiere, one of the developers working on Beyond: Two Souls at Quantic Dream, believes that the game will change the way gamers and developers approach character creation for their own products.

He tells Eurogamer that, “Probably, when people will see Beyond – other studios – they will want to have a great talent in their games, too, because we’re going to see a difference, and it’s going to be striking.”

For Beyond, the team developed a new way of capturing the performance of real-life actors while modeling their movements in virtual form in full synchronization with their voices.

David Cage, the leader of Quantic Dream, has also suggested that the new PlayStation 4 will allow developers even more options when it comes to emotion simulation.

Beyond: Two Souls will be launched later during the year exclusively on the PlayStation 3.
