David Cage, the leader of the team at Quantic Dream, says that the development process for the new Beyond: Two Souls cost about 27 million dollars (20 million Euro) to complete.

The developer is quoted by CVG as saying that plenty of resources were devoted to the complex motion tracking solution that was used to capture the performances of Ellen Page, who plays the main character, and her supporting cast.

Reports have suggested that Grand Theft Auto V has cost about 170 million dollars (123 million Euro) to create at Rockstar and then market to possible audiences.

It’s unclear whether the figure for Beyond: Two Souls also includes promotional costs.

The new title will be launched on October 8 in North America and three days later in Europe exclusively on the PlayStation 3 from Sony.

David Cage says that the entire game experience is driven by emotion and a sense of wonder.
