14 DAY TRIAL // Video game publisher Activision Blizzard has released the first trailer for the upcoming Battleship titles, which will be linked to the movie with the same name and will be released for the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft at some point during March.
The Battleship video game is being developed by Double Helix Games and it seems that the entire story will be linked to that of the movie, with many of the characters and situations ported without any sort of change.
Activision describes the game as being a mix between strategy, when it comes to leading the naval units that face the alien threat, and first-person action, presumably taking place on the various ships of the armada.
Battleship will also get versions for the Nintendo Wii home console and both the normal DS and 3DS handheld, which are being created independently by Magic Pockets and will arrive later during 2012.
