The development team at DICE announces that it will be bringing its Battlelog service down today between 8 AM UTC and 10 AM in order to prepare the infrastructure for the coming launch of Battlefield 4.

The official Twitter account of the franchise states, “[BATTLELOG UPDATE] Battlelog will be down today from 08:00 AM UTC - 10:00 AM UTC in preparation for Battlefield 4.”

Battlelog was highly involved in the recent beta stage for the first-person shooter and the company is probably now implementing changes to make sure that it can deal with the bigger number of players that will use it soon.

Battlefield 4 will be out on October 29 in North America and three days later in Europe.

Battlelog is more important than ever for the series because it will serve as a hub for the entire multiplayer experience.
