Publisher EA might have decided to delay the fifth and final DLC pack for DICE's popular first-person shooter Battlefield 4, titled Final Stand and initially due out sometime this summer.

The information comes from a stealthy update on the game's official website, which exchanges the previous "Summer 2014" release window with a more ambiguous "TBD."

Battlefield 4 has received three out of its scheduled five expansions so far, with the fourth, Dragon's Teeth, being on its way, on track for its Summer 2014 release window.

The final DLC pack for Battlefield 4 was supposed to deliver the game's "epic conclusion" later this summer, but now it's unclear whether the expansion will manage to see the light of day before DICE's other big project, Battlefield Hardline, hits markets in October.

The full scoop on Final Stand is yet to be delivered by EA, but developer DICE hinted at some of the new toys that players would be able to utilize in an earlier teaser video that showed what looked like some sort of multi-directional minigun drone.

EA has not provided any official comments on the subject matter, but the possible decision to postpone the release of the DLC might be in order for developer DICE to channel all its power into making sure that the launch of Battlefield Hardline won't be as disastrous as the one that Battlefield 4 had.
