The development team at DICE working on the Battlelog service for Battlefield 4 is introducing a new feature called Emblems, which is designed to bridge the gap between using the service and the actual multiplayer experience of the game.

The studio writes in an official post that, “Create an Emblem on Battlelog and then next time you join a multiplayer game, you will see this Emblem on both your gun and soldier – they even show upon vehicles as you enter them.”

Players are expected to be creative when it comes to their Emblem design and DICE will police the community to make sure that they are all appropriate.

Battlelog is designed to make it easier for players to find matches and explore Battlefield 4 related content while they wait to actually get into a match.

The first-person shooter will be launched on October 29 in North America and on November 1 in Europe on the PC and on home consoles.
