The creation will be tested before it is launched

Despite the launch of the newer Hardline, the development team at DICE continues to work hard to keep fans of the older Battlefield 4 engaged, and a new short video delivers a few more bits of information about the free community map that will be launched later in the year.

The footage is offered by the Twitter account of the shooter series and features Cam Petty, an artist, talking about the way the battle area is being improved via the addition of new foliage and a new medical clinic building.

The entire Battlefield 4 community was able to vote on the core design decisions for the new map.

Once the DICE team manages to complete it, players will be able to see it in action on the Community Test Environment, and it will then be further refined before it is released for everyone.

The studio is also planning to introduce a new weapon pack before the end of spring, and there are also plans for a new patch to better balance the gameplay.

DICE has also teased the possibility of another big DLC pack for Battlefield 4, but the company probably now lacks the resources to create it because it is focused on the creation of Star Wars Battlefront.
