The development team at DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they are planning to restart the home console servers for Battlefield 4 at 10 AM Greenwich Mean Time, which is 2 AM Pacific Daylight Time, in order to improve the overall performance.

The information comes from the official Twitter account, and the two companies are saying that the restart might affect multiplayer but do not mention for how long the various modes will be down.

The teams are not offering details on exactly what will be changed in the core Battlefield 4 experiences once all the servers are back online.

DICE might be getting ready to deliver a new fix for the game, but it has recently said that gamers will only get a major new update for the shooter in September.

An announcement from the company explains that it will introduce a range of changes, including better weapon balance and modifications to how resurrections work.

DICE might be simply working on improving the overall online performance for Battlefield 4, which has been a problem for some of the fans who are at the moment playing it on home consoles from both Sony and Microsoft.

The title is supposed to get a final DLC pack at some point in the fall, with more maps and game modes.
