Video game publisher Electronic Arts says that it plans to launch the Second Assault downloadable content for Battlefield 4 on the PC at some point in February, although no official date has yet been offered.

The information comes from a conversation on Twitter between an Origin user and the official Customer Experience team.

Apparently, the plan is to launch the new maps for those who are subscribing to the Premium service and to offer them to the general player population two weeks later.

The included maps are Operation Metro, Operation Firestorm, Caspian Border and Gulf of Oman, all of them remade using the Frostbite 3 engine and its new Levolution capabilities.

At the moment, developer DICE is working on making sure that all bugs for Battlefield 4 are solved and has pledged to stop work on the next title in the series until the community is satisfied with the experience it has access to.
