DICE has started rolling out the Rent-A-Server feature for their popular first-person shooter Battlefield 4 on consoles, allowing users to set up both private and public Battlefield 4 servers.

The news came from an official post on the Battlefield blog, informing that the feature has been temporarily disabled for the Xbox One edition of the game due to some issues with the rental time, but servers that have been rented will still be available for play. However, the admins will not be able to access the entirety of the management features while the program is disabled.

The feature was initially made available for the Windows PC version of Battlefield 4, and the possibility of it making its way to consoles was teased last month by the game's community manager, EA_Stive.

The program allows admins to set up server settings such as map, mode rotations, server location, and private or public visibility.

Players can rent and manage their own servers by selecting the "My Rented Servers" in the Multiplayer menu.

For now, during the program's soft launch, a limited amount of servers will be available, and the total number will gradually increase to accommodate requests.

The prices for renting a server begin at $1.5 / €1 per day, $7 / €5 for a week, $25 / €18 for a month, and $60 / €43 for 90 days.
