DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 4 Premium members on the PC can finally start downloading the long-awaited Naval Strike DLC for their platform but, at the same time, the Battlelog online service is experiencing a bit of an outage due to unforeseen circumstances.

Battlefield 4 received the Naval Strike add-on last week across the PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360 platforms, as Premium bundle owners were able to enjoy the major multiplayer expansion.

Unfortunately for PC and Xbox One owners, DICE was forced to delay the release of Naval Strike on those platforms due to last-minute technical issues.

Naval Strike reached the Xbox One over the weekend and today, March 31, it finally went live for the PC platform.

However, minutes after DICE made the announcement on Twitter, it also confirmed that Battlelog was experiencing "extended downtime" and that it didn't know when the service would be back online.

As such, Battlefield 4 owners on PC aren't able to download the new expansion, while those on other platforms can't access the online multiplayer overall.

As of yet, DICE hasn't given any time frame for a comeback, so expect Battlelog to remain offline for a while until the studio manages to fix the problem.
