Michael Pachter, the analyst watching the video game space for Wedbush Morgan, says that the bugs that are still affecting Battlefield 4 have been a bigger problem for the gaming press than for the players who are actively engaged with the experience.

During a Gametrailers-hosted Bonus Round, the analyst explained that as long as gamers continued to play the game despite the issues, they were manageable.

The development team at DICE is launching frequent patches for Battlefield 4 on the PC and on home consoles and the studio has recently asked gamers to offer feedback on which areas of the shooter need to be re-balanced.

At the moment, development of more downloadable content packages and a full sequel are on hold.

Despite its issues, Battlefield 4 has managed to deliver solid sales and challenges Call of Duty: Ghosts, the rival from Infinity Ward and Activision, which has not reached the sales performance of its predecessor, Black Ops 2.
