It's been confirmed by Warner Bros. that Batman: Arkham Origins, the upcoming third installment in the Arkham series, will use on the PC platform the Steam service instead of the problematic Games for Windows Live from Microsoft.

Games for Windows Live has caused PC gamers lots of problems for quite some time as it was always plagued by errors and issues, while forcing them to jump through many hoops in order to play their games.

Even so, Warner Bros. stubbornly used it for Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

Now, with Arkham Origins, the publisher has confirmed to IGN that the PC edition will use the Steam service and the subsequent Steamworks system for its multiplayer and achievements.

There's no word yet on whether the game will have extra Steam features, such as cloud saving, Big Picture, Trading Cards, or other such things.
