Alastair Cornish, the creative director of the Splash Damage team working on the multiplayer of the new Batman game, says that his team is eager to have a combat system similar to that seen in previous titles in the series.

Batman and his partner Robin will have to focus on using his gadgets and his abilities because he becomes very vulnerable when he is detected and attacked from a distance.

The developer tells The Official Xbox Magazine that, “You don't see him just dropping in in the middle of armed opponents because they will gun him down very, very quickly.”

The newly announced mode for Arkham Origins is designed to pit Batman and Robin against two gangs of three members, devoted to either Bane or The Joker.

The new Batman experience will be launched on the PC, the Wii U and current-gen consoles on October 25.
