Those who get the statue might have the story spoiled

A pretty major story spoiler for Batman: Arkham Knight, related to the fate of the hero at the end of the campaign, may have been leaked online through the statue of the Caped Crusader that's included in the Limited Edition of the upcoming title.

Batman: Arkham Knight promises to deliver an impressive experience at the beginning of spring, that brings fresh adventures for the Dark Knight, not to mention an all-new villain in the form of the Arkham Knight.

While developer Rocksteady has kept a tight lid on things in recent months, a possible plot spoiler has leaked online through the special statue of the hero found in the Limited Edition of the game.

More specifically, as uncovered by Videogamer, the Amazon and Amazon UK listings for the limited edition of Arkham Knight include a statue of Batman that's supposed to be "commemorating" the famous hero.

What's more, an early version of the listing includes a statue that has a special plaque saying something along the lines of "From a Grateful City In Memory of the Gotham Knight."

In case you can't put things together, both of them hint that Batman might end up dying in Arkham Knight. It's also possible that the persona of Batman could end up being scrapped by Bruce Wayne and replaced with something else, so there are still plenty of options the story can employ in its plot.

Don't expect a statement from Rocksteady, however, as the studio is notoriously secretive and just wants to finish the game ahead of its release in early March.
