Video game developer Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. are delivering four new screenshots taken from Batman: Arkham Knight, which are designed to show off the quality of the graphics that the title will offer and the design of the protagonist.

There are also images for Harley Quinn, one of the main antagonists, and the Batmobile that gamers will be able to use to explore the city of Gotham, offered via Twitter.

Batman: Arkham Knight is the final game of the current series of titles built around the DC Comics character and will allow gamers to use an enhanced suite of tools and combat moves in order to take out a wide array of villains that are working under the leadership of Scarecrow.

Rocksteady has promised that the game will deliver some interesting innovation and has created the Arkham Knight character specifically to serve as a direct threat to Batman, with abilities that can negate those of the Dark Knight.

The game is the first that will allow players to use the Batmobile to traverse the streets of Gotham, which is set to be bigger and pack more content than before.

It will be launched on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PC on October 14 of this year.
