Major changes are coming to Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and BioShock 2, apparently

A new report has appeared online claiming that Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and BioShock 2 might see their restrictive Games for Windows Live security system eliminated completely, at least in the case of the Steam editions.

Despite being sold on Steam, the Batman Arkham titles and BioShock 2 added another security system on top, in the form of Games for Windows Live and even SecuROM, in other cases.

Now, according to a NeoGAF member who's done some digging through the new updates that have been released for the three titles, it seems that the developers want to completely eliminate Games for Windows Live from them.

What's more, achievements might soon be added to Batman: Arkham Asylum and BioShock 2, which further cements the move from GfWL to Valve's simpler Steamworks security.

Bear in mind that this is just a rumor, but an official confirmation might appear soon enough.
