OnLive, the video game streaming service that’s been growing in popularity in recent times, has confirmed that the demo for Batman: Arkham City broke its record for the number of demos played in a single day.

Batman: Arkham City for the PC was released this week but, until that point, the only way to experience its demo was through the OnLive streaming service. As you can imagine, this led to a surge in demand for the service, especially since anyone can try it and the demo out for free.

Now, OnLive has confirmed that Arkham City broke its existing popularity record, with lots of players experiencing the first 30 minutes of the game and, if they bought it, could continue right where they left off.

While the exact numbers weren’t shared by the streaming service, it’s nice to hear that OnLive is becoming more and more popular.
