Awesome Games Done Quick managed to raise a total of over $1.5 / €1.3 million for the Prevent Cancer charity this year.

The event is a week-long speed running marathon that raises money for charity each year, and this edition saw over 18.5k separate donors pitching in during the marathon, with a total of 26k unique donations being made, as several of them donated multiple times.

The average registered donation was over $45 / €38, and the special Awesome Games Done Quick Humble Bundle also added a significant portion of the tally, namely $192k / €163k.

The incredibly skilled and inhumanly fast player who got a Master rating at Tetris: Grand Master 3, the one we wrote about last week, was part of this event, alongside many other dedicated gamers who compete against each other and the games' mechanics.

Next year we'll probably see people playing speed Tetris on a T-shirt, trying to break the world record for most Tetris Master ratings obtained on items of clothing.

If you want to see some of the impressive feats pulled off during the event, you can hop on the AGDQ schedule, which will aid you in locating specific games.

The AGDQ Twitch channel has a ton of past broadcasts for you to enjoy as well.
