Developer Alexandre Deschamps announces that he is working on a new video game called Avillum, which aims to offer a retro action role-playing game experience based entirely on battle fought via cards using a browser-based system.

The game maker says, “It's the game that will bring back the kid in you when you gather up with friends to look through their collection and trade the cards they need for the cards you want.”

Avillum will allow players to create their own decks and build complex strategies based on card interactions before testing their might against other players.

Rare, special versions of cards can be found and the developer also wants to encourage gamers to interact with each other in order to get access to new items and create new strategies.

The entire Avillum experience can be played using only a browser, which gives the team a lot of options when it comes to updates and balance changes.

The game has 23 days to go on Kickstarter and aims to raise 10,000 CAD, which is about 9,719 American dollars (7,200 Euro).
