Atlus has just confirmed the plans to deliver a remake of Etrian Odyssey 2, also releasing a fancy new trailer for gamers to enjoy.

The company is remaking the old games in order to turn the series into a more story-focused one, as can be seen by looking at EO4 and the recent remake of EO1, and now the writers are going back and expanding on whatever they felt they didn't touch on when making the initial games.

The remake has been hinted at by an image on the Japanese version of the Persona Q website, where a broccoli floret / tree thingy and the words "2 D X Coming Soon" have led many familiar with the company's game to believe that the company is teasing the upcoming remake of Etrian Odyssey 2, deduced from the ending password of Etrian Odyssey Untold.

Taking into account the fact that the remake of Etrian Odyssey 1 made its way west, there's a pretty good chance that Atlus will also release the remake of the second installment in the series on western markets.

The Japanese website of the game is also up, and you can watch the trailer below or visit the NeoGAF forums until more information regarding the Nintendo 3DS exclusive game becomes available.
