Assassin's Creed fans should expect an even bigger surprise with Unity

Ubisoft has shared a small tidbit of info about the present day content of Assassin's Creed Unity and mentioned that it will be even more different than what was seen in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag last year.

Assassin's Creed games have not only delivered some intense historical action adventure experience but they've also had different plots in the present day, in which players would control various characters, such as Desmond Miles.

Assassin's Creed Unity, the next iteration in the series set to debut this fall, is no exception and Ubisoft has mentioned a few short details on the UbiBlog through the voice of Creative Director Alex Amancio.

According to him, while Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag had a pretty different present day experience, the one in Unity will be "more different."

"It’s very different than anything you’ve seen in any of the past games," he says. "Black Flag was different. This is more different."

In case you have't played Black Flag, I'll detail the present day experience so be careful about spoilers. While in previous games you played as Desmond Miles, the ancestor of the actual main protagonists, in Black Flag you played a nameless employee of Abstergo Entertainment that merely explored the memories of main hero Edward Kenway.

It's going to be interesting to see what players will be able to do this time around.
