The script for the Assassin's Creed movie that's set to appear in 2015 is currently being rewritten by Scott Frank, as the Wolverine writer has just been brought in to clarify the work of Michael Lesslie.

Ubisoft is planning on movie adaptations for many of its big franchises and the Assassin's Creed film has even gotten a release date of June 19, 2015.

The movie will see actor Michael Fassbender star in the leading role and act as a producer.

The script was initially written by Michael Lesslie, but Wolverine writer Scott Frank has just confirmed to CSM that he's been brought in to rewrite it.

"I'm rewriting Assassin's Creed right now, and what I love about it is that I've never adapted a video game before and it has its own set of challenges," said Frank. "Especially in the world of re-writes, I love trying to do something completely different if I can."

Frank previously worked on Minority Report and other such movies, and even received an Academy Award nomination for Out of Sight.
