Ubisoft and Sony are announcing that Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will be launched on the PlayStation Store service on January 14 of next year, with a host of improvements to graphics and gameplay.

The team states on the PlayStation Blog that the new version will "improve upon what worked on the Vita and adapt the gameplay and missions to be the most fun and enjoyable they could be. As a result, each mission has been reworked in order to improve its pacing, and the challenge it poses to the player."

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will take players to New Orleans at the start of the American Revolution and will give them control over Aveline, one of the most interesting protagonists of the series.

The female with mixed French and African ancestry needs to navigate a mysterious game world in order to force the Templars and their Spanish allies out of the city.

The PSN release of Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will introduce 15 new missions.
