Ubisoft has just confirmed that it's going to release a brand new comic book mini-series, in the form of Assassin's Creed: Brahman, which will take the franchise to India, showing a new protagonist and teasing future storylines for the next games, after this year's Black Flag.

Assassin's Creed fans are set to receive all sorts of new adaptations for their franchise, from a new game, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, to even a movie starring Michael Fassbender.

Now, Ubisoft has confirmed on the UbiBlog that it will debut a special comic book series called Assassin's Creed: Brahman.

The books will be written by the same team responsible for previous chapters, like The Fall or The Chain, in collaboration with DC Comics' Brenden Fletcher, and will appear this fall.

Brahman will take place in 19th century India and will show a new hero, Arbaaz Mir, fight to save his people from the subjugation of the British colonial government.

Besides offering a bold new story, the comic book will also tease future storylines for games after Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.
