Publisher My.com and developer Obsidian Entertainment have released a new 30-minute video, providing a gameplay demonstration of the upcoming free-to-play vehicular combat game Armored Warfare.

The gameplay vid comes with pertinent commentary from Rich Taylor, executive producer at Obsidian Entertainment, walking fans through the new game and showing off many of its features.

The video was shown to attendees of the PAX Prime convention this past weekend, highlighting the general game flow in the upcoming tank battling game.

Armored Warfare casts players as private military contractors who oversee their own personal command bases, and are expected to manage and expand their headquarters that house vehicle convoys. The game utilizes a pretty robust experience system for progression, that also factors in a player's reputation.

Fans of Wargaming's massive multiplayer online hit World Of Tanks are most likely the primary audience of Obsidian, who is trying to offer a similar but slightly different experience to tank-battling enthusiasts.

Just like in World of Tanks, there are a number of different classes, from heavily armored battle tanks to more nimble, smaller ones, suitable for different roles and different tastes.

The game is scheduled to come out for PC, at a yet undisclosed date, and registrations for the beta test are open on the Armored Warfare website.
