Nomura Securities, an analysis firm in Japan, says it expects to see video game publisher Konami launch Metal Gear Solid 5 during the fiscal year 2014, which starts on April 1 of 2013.

It is not clear whether the firm has actual knowledge from inside Konami or the Kojima development team or whether it is only guessing based on previous launch patterns for the publishers.

Neither the developer nor the publisher has officially unveiled the existence of Metal Gear Solid 5, although series creator Hideo Kojima has hinted that he has plans to create another game which uses the familiar themes of the franchise and stealth as the main mechanic.

At the moment Kojima is supervising the development of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which is being created by Platinum Games, with a launch expected to arrive during this year.

The game will feature Raiden as the main character and will place a heavier emphasis on quick action moves.
