Al Hope, the leader of the development process for the new Alien: Isolation, says that his team wants to create an experience where players are constantly evaluating their choices and exploring how they could have played earlier sections in a different way.

He is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “you’re always underpowered and you’re always the underdog. We want the player not really ever feel too much in control and to be second-guessing what’s going to happen next.”

The new game based on the classic movie series is designed to focus on Amanda Ripley and on her quest to escape from a new alien threat.

The game focuses on the exploration and horror aspects of the universe.

Alien: Isolation will be launched in the final quarter of this year and will be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and current-gen consoles.
