Alien: Isolation, the upcoming survival horror game from Creative Assembly is apparently not going to find a home on Nintendo's Wii U console.

When Gearbox Software's Aliens: Colonial Marines came out, the initially announced Wii U version turned volatile and in the end disappeared altogether.

Publisher Sega's reasons back then might have had something to do with the Wii U having just debuted or the game being given the cold shoulder from fans and critics.

But now, Sega has announced on the Alien: Isolation Twitter that they don't have plans to release the game for the Wii U platform, confirming that the earlier announcement not including the Nintendo console was not just a fluke.

Sega's decision might be based on the waning popularity of Nintendo's console or might be based on some other internal factors, but it is by no means a singular occurrence.

This marks yet another third-party developer relinquishing support for the Wii U from their multi-platform compatibility plans.
