Sega and Creative Assembly have confirmed that the upcoming Alien: Isolation survival horror game will run at a 1080p full HD resolution on the PS4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles.

Alien: Isolation was finally confirmed to the world earlier this week by Sega and its Creative Assembly team as a new installment in the multimedia series.

The title will aim to recreate the survival horror feel of the 1979 movie and stars the daughter of protagonist Ellen Ripley, Amanda.

Now, the studio has revealed on Twitter that Alien: Isolation will run at a 1080p (1920x1080) full HD resolution on the PS4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles.

No word yet on what framerate is being targeted so it's unclear if it will run at 30fps or 60fps.

Expect to hear much more about Alien: Isolation as we get closer to its debut in late 2014 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One.
