Alien: Isolation has just received a very special pre-order bonus downloadable content pack in the form of Nostromo, which lets players take control of Ellen Ripley and the rest of her colleagues in a special encounter modeled after the original Alien movie.

Alien: Isolation was alredy detailed quite some time ago as a love letter to fans of the classic survival horror movie and promises to deliver an interactive experience in which players guide Amanda Ripley, daughter of film heroine Ellen Ripley, as she tries to escape a space station infested by a deadly Xenomorph.

However, those who pre-order the game will see their copy upgraded to the Nostromo Edition, which includes a special level called Crew Expendable, according to the PS blog.

The add-on allows players to take control of movie characters like Ellen Ripley, Dallas, or Parker as they search for a way to escape an Alien after the deaths of Brett and Kane.

"Along with Ash and Lambert, this is an unbelievably rare gathering of the Nostromo crew, reunited once more with the Nostromo Edition. Fans of Ridley Scott’s film, Alien will no doubt be beyond excited to have the chance of playing through those terrifying moments of the film and in particular, as Ellen Ripley."

Alien: Isolation will debut on October 7 worldwide for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
