The development team at The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are delivering a new trailer for Alien: Isolation, which aims to show fans of the horror-based space series how the various characters in the new title were created using a complex motion capture process.

The footage features both Dan Abnett, the writer of the core story for the game, and Garry Napper, one of the developers focused on world design, talking about the choices that they have made and the way realistic characters will impact the player’s experience.

Alien: Isolation needs to have solid characters and smooth motions in order to help immerse the player in the game’s world, a decrepit space station where a limited number of humans search for means to live while being stalked by the xenomorph.

The Creative Assembly has already said that the title will aim to use classic survival horror mechanics and that it will not give the gamer any sort of way of killing the creature, so running and hiding are the only available options.

Alien: Isolation will be launched on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, current-gen consoles, and the PC on October 7 of this year.
