Video game developer The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are continuing to tease fans of the upcoming Alien: Isolation with a new short video, called Don't Shoot, which shows the protagonist Amanda Ripley meeting a human and then the xenomorph as she tries to move across the space station on which she is trapped.

The team states, "With new footage exploring another area of the station and the dangers of the environment awaiting you, our taster video shows how, in the heat of the moment, certain choices can make a big difference…"

Alien: Isolation is set to arrive on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles and will be offered starting October 7.

The footage released is very representative of the actual game experience, with players having to make quick decisions with very little time available in order to escape the alien that's hunting them.

The developers have promised that Alien: Isolation will capture the atmosphere of the classic movies in the franchise and will allow players to try and stay one step ahead of the xenomorph while using a range of improvised weapons and gadgets to make sure that it does not attack.
