The second expansion pack delivers a brand new character

Creative Assembly, the makers of Alien: Isolation, have just released a gameplay teaser for the title's second DLC pack, titled Trauma, featuring some of the members of the development team trying to sneak around undetected.

The game is probably the first Alien-themed game to capture the unique atmosphere of the original 1979 movie, taking a step sideways from the usual, action-packed way of doing things and instead forcing the player to use wits and patience against a single, lethal creature throughout the duration of the entire journey aboard the derelict space station.

Players assume control of Amanda Ripley, the daughter of the character played by Sigourney Weaver in the original movie, retracing her mother's steps and attempting to make sense of what happened to her.

Alien: Isolation's Survivor mode add-on features a brand new playable character, Dr. Lingard, Sevastopol's chief medical officer, and is set before the events of the main game. Trauma also features three brand new maps, titled Reoperation, Crawl Space and Overrun. Crawl Space will introduce players to a claustrophobic struggle through the Sevastopol's ventilation system.

The first expansion pack, titled Corporate Lockdown, also came with three new maps for the time-based Survivor Mode.

The DLC pack is part of Alien: Isolation's season pass and is available on the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.
