Age of Zombies, the tiny shoot'em up from Halfbrick, is now available on the PlayStation Vita.

Barry Steakfries is the hero of Age of Zombies (as well as Jetpack Joyride and Monster Dash, other Halfbrick titles), and he must travel to various times in order to defeat undead creatures, using an assorted arsenal of weapons in dealing with the opposing zombie ninjas, dinosaurs and cavemen.

The time-travelling shooter was originally released as a PS Mini in 2010, has witnessed ports for mobile platforms, and now BlitWorks, a studio experienced in making PlayStation Vita ports, developed a version for Sony's handheld device.

Halfbrick community coordinator James Schultz announced the news on the PSBlog, adding that the PlayStation Vita port is “without a doubt the definitive version of Age of Zombies.”

Age of Zombies comes to the Vita with remastered graphics, the addition of twin-stick controls, and includes additional Survival Challenges, global leaderboards, Trophies and a new health bar to monitor the player character's health.
