14 DAY TRIAL // have announced that Age of Empire fans will be getting Age of Empires 2: Forgotten Empires HD via Steam, on November 7.
This represents the first new expansion in over ten years and it will include Steam workshop support, new expansion rankings, as well as steam trading cards, plus a lot more.
For those who might not know, this HD edition started off as a fan-made mod and has been turned into an official expansion. It includes a number of five forgotten civilizations and their technologies, as well as new maps and AI and 4 brand new campaigns.
Moreover, it incorporates Twitch integration so that people can watch players vanquish foreign armies.
The announcement was made on the developers’ official Facebook page. Skybox Studios have also promised “some sneaky previews of all the novelties” in the near future. Players can check out the AoE multiplayer early at PAX Prime.
