Developer Bungie only intends to add some tweaks in order to provide a smoother experience

Activision's financial conference call for the second quarter of fiscal year 2014 has concluded with the news that the feedback from the Destiny testing sessions has been great and that everything is set up for launch.

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg mentions that the beta has been a success from every point of view, being the latest console generation's biggest such event, as well as the biggest beta for a new IP ever registered, and that everything has been tested in scale and performed as expected, including during the stress test where pretty much every owner of a Sony or Microsoft console was invited to join.

Developer Bungie has learned a lot from watching players toy with its systems and generally engage with the game, and reports that from now on, players can expect just a couple of tweaks to be made to the game until release, as everything is working as intended.

"But I would describe this as tweaks and not major changes, as we saw the fundamentals of the game to be very strong. And the good news is because we got 4.6 million players into the beta we were able to test the back-end in scale and it performed really well and stably. We think we’re ready for a great launch with a great partner in Bungie," Hirshberg tells DualShockers.

So there you have it, don't expect any major changes to be implemented before Destiny's September 9 launch for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
