The development team at Eugen Systems and publisher Focus Home Interactive are apparently working on a new title called Act of Aggression, which is designed to be a modern spiritual successor for the Act of War series.

At the moment, no details are offered on the experience, other than that it will use real-time strategy mechanics, but information will be offered by the two companies during the Game Developers Conference, which will take place next week.

One lonely screenshot from Act of Aggression has been revealed and it seems to suggest that the development team is trying to create a more classic title that will focus on traditional mechanics, according to Strategy Informer.

At the moment, Eugen Systems is also working on Wargame Red Dragon, a military-themed strategy experience that will take players to South East Asia and will allow them to control the militaries of nations like China and North Korea.

The title will feature expanded unit rosters, amphibious mechanics and a better dynamic campaign and will be launched in the fall of this year.

If Act of Aggression is inspired by Act of War: Direct Action and its expansion, High Treason, it will probably be more focused on near future units with a science fiction theme.
