This week we deliver two of our own Softpedia reviews: one for Dishonored, the stealth and action mix from developer Arkane Studios and publisher Bethesda, and another for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the strategy and tactical title from Firaxis and 2K Games.

We also have one Quick Look that deals with the new BFG edition re-release for Doom 3 and how it updates that classic first-person shooter experience.

Our Weekend Reading features deal with: how FTL teaches us something about the power or self-made stories in video games and with the new trend in Season Pass use.

We also have two new Gamer Diaries, one for Dishonored, which talks about the way the stealth genre is revived, and another for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, detailing my failing attempts to save Earth from the alien menace.

As always, there’s also an EndWeekGame piece and a collection of the most interesting news from the past seven days.
