We've had another big week, playing mostly The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from Bethesda, for which we have a full Softpedia review, but we also found the time to sneak in a review for the iOS powered Shadowgun.

We also have three Quick Looks, one for Need for Speed: The Run, the racing game created by Black Box and Electronic Arts, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, the hack and slash third person title, and Saints Row: The Third, the open world insanity simulator from THQ and Volition.

There's also a quickly developing series of Gamer Diaries about Skyrim.

We also have two Weekend Reading pieces, one about how story is mixed into Need for Speed: The Run and another which talks about the rivalry between Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3, and a EndWeekGame article about what we're currently playing.

And we selected the most important stories of the week that passed us by.

On Monday Activision talked about the problems seen with Call of Duty Elite, saying that the popularity of the service was surprising for the company, while intrepid gamers seem to have found out some information on the actor and the main character of Grand Theft Auto V.

Tuesday new rumors about appeared about the Xbox 720 which Microsoft is supposedly developing in secret while, speaking about new consoles, Nintendo is said to be working with Electronic Arts to make Origin the digital distribution solution for the Wii U home console.

Wednesday the founder of BioWare talked about how the Mass Effect 3 story experience is evolving after the leaked script which has been made available earlier in the month while Nintendo talked about The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and about how 5 years olds can play it.

Thursday reports about problems with Modern Warfare 3 game disks on the Xbox 360 were reported while Sony launched a new social network in Japan which seems to be a direct competitor to Home.

Friday Sony talked about how many gamers use PSN because of Modern Warfare 3 while problems linked to save game size were reported with the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
