The biggest game of this week has undoubtedly been Mass Effect 3, the mix between action and role playing from BioWare and Electronic Arts, and, amid the controversies and discussions about the ending, we managed to deliver a largely spoiler-free full Softpedia review of the game.

We also have a Gamer Diary linked to Mass Effect 3, talking about our experience with the game and how the latest title from BioWare relates to the rest of the series, and the final few installments for the A House Divided diary, which ends on the bitter note of defeat.

We also have a Quick Look for the Fall of the Samurai expansion for Shogun 2.

We also have two Weekend Reading features, one about Mass Effect 3 and its relation to history, real and fictional, and another one about the busy launch schedule for spring 2012. Our EndWeekGame piece deals with how we plan to spend our free time this weekend and, as always, we also have a selection of those news pieces that were important in the last seven days.

On Monday, the ending controversy for Mass Effect 3 exploded with fans asking for a chance while Rovio talked about whether Angry Birds: Space might be launched on the PlayStation Vita handheld.

On Tuesday, fans started to come up with their own ending variants for Mass Effect 3 while Microsoft talked about Halo 4 and how the game related to other big franchises like GTA and Call of Duty.
