It's the end of another gaming week and we've got the most important news of the last seven days listed a little bit farther in the article. On Monday, Valve finished up its Portal-themed week by saying that the sequel would arrive this year and that it would include cooperative play and offering more of a narrative for fans. Meanwhile, those players who tried to get into the PC versions of Assassin's Creed II and Silent Hunter V were thwarted by problems Ubisoft had with its authentication servers.

On Tuesday, we followed up on the Monday Ubisoft server story with the publisher claiming that the big problem was a hacker attack, which targeted its authentication server. Sony also talked about God of War III and about an epilogue that was cut from the game and that might be launched later.

On Wednesday, we found out that the much awaited Modern Warfare 2 map pack, called Stimulus Package, would be arriving exclusively for those gaming on the Xbox 360 home console, with PC and PlayStation 3 gamers having to wait for some time. During the same day, Harmonix and MTV Games officially announced the existence of Rock Band 3.

On Thursday, we talked about the officially named motion tracking controller from Sony, the Move, and about the possibilities it is set to open up for videogames when it comes out in the fall. Meanwhile, John Schappert, one of the leaders of Electronic Arts, expressed his disappointment over the legal issues between Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard.

On Friday, we dealt with the NPD Group figures for February, which showed an overall decline with BioShock 2 being the best sold videogame and with the Nintendo DS the best sold console. And Harmonix brought some attention back to Rock Band by announcing that the Green Day-themed game was set to arrive on June 8.
