This week was the week the PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony was launched on Western markets, after a two month delay since the Japanese launch, and this means we have a full Softpedia review for the hardware and software side of the new platform.

We also have reviews for a number of the launch titles that come alongside the PlayStation Vita: Uncharted: Golden Abyss, the Nathan Drake powered prequel, Reality Fighters, an Augmented Reality brawler, Unit 13, the third person shooter from the SOCOM creators, and Wipeout 2048, the racing prequel that feels great in multiplayer.

We also continue to deliver Gamer Diaries, linked to both King Arthur II – The Role-playing Wargame and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and we continue our series of Incoming Games 2012 entries.

We also have a Weekend Reading piece that deals with Star Wars: The Old Republic and how it managed to get healthy subscription numbers and another that deals with the trials of playing digitally downloaded titles on the new PlayStation Vita.

Our EndWeekGame piece talks about how we plan to spend our gaming time during this weekend.

We also have a selection of the most interesting news of the week that passed us by.
