This week, we've reviewed New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Wii, written about the possibilities of Mass Effect 3 in the Weekend Reading piece and also gotten another installment of EndGameWeek detailing our gaming choices for the weekend. And we've also got a few select articles from the seven days that have passed.

On Monday, a major list of details about Fallout: New Vegas, the Obsidian made post apocalypse role playing experience, was leaked to the public as the game nears its late 2010 release date, just as Sony mentioned the possibility of bringing in classic PlayStation 2 and 1 titles for the PSN in the near future.

On Tuesday, Rockstar and Team Bondi confirmed that L.A. Noire, the detective story set in Los Angeles in 1947, would be heading to the Xbox 360 home gaming console, as well as to the PlayStation 3 just as a new batch of free downloadable content was released for BioWare's Mass Effect 2.

Wednesday was all about classics, as we took a quick look at the role that nostalgia plays in the potential appreciation of New Super Mario Bros. Wii while also talking about how BioWare was exploring the mythology of the Sith with the Inquisitor class for the upcoming The Old Republic MMO.

Thursday was also about big franchises. A rumor, since then confirmed, popped up about Final Fantasy XIII coming bundled with an Xbox 360 sporting a 250 GB hard drive on the Western market, while the PlayStation 3 bundle remains confined to Japan. Meanwhile, Activision talked about the upcoming Call of Duty title that would arrive in 2010, comparing it unfavorably with Modern Warfare 2.

On Friday, we talked about the NPD Group sales figures for January, which ended up with the Nintendo Wii and New Super Mario Bros. on top while wondering about the causes for the popularity of the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo.
