It's been another week dominated by Starcraft 2 wins and losses in multiplayer but we had the time to put together a Weekend Reading segment about how 3D can find a living home on the PC through the efforts of companies like Nvidia and a EndWeekGame article talking about what titles we spent time with this weekend.

There's also a quick look at Victoria II, the new grand strategy title from Paradox Interactive that focuses on the XIX century.

And, of course, we have a review of Burn Zombie Burn!, one for The Semper Fi expansion for Hearts of Iron 3 and a selection of the most interesting news of the last seven days.

On Monday Clint Hocking, the designer well known for his work on Splinter Cell and especially Far Cry 2, has announced that we will be moving to LucasArts, where he might just be working on a new Star Wars title.

On the same day a small scandal broke out when it was suggested that Dragon Age 2 for the PC will not be getting a tactical view and any modding tools.

Tuesday was the day when we managed to get out hands on the Mafia II demo with full three dimensional effects and PhysiX tech powered by Nvidia, producing two accounts of how the new technology influences the gaming experience and pushes it forward.

On Wednesday new details emerged about the new Rocksteady made Batman title, which got the subtitle Arkham City, while we also took a quick look to World of Tanks, an upcoming MMO based around armor battles that will especially appeal to World War II buffs.

On Tuesday Electronic Arts has announced that the American cover for FIFA 11 will be featuring a trio of players: Carlos Vela, Kaka and Landon Donovan.

On the same day Atari announced that its open world racing title, Test Drive Unlimited 2, will be delayed to the first quarter of 2011.

Friday was the day when the NPD Group numbers appeared for July, showing the newly redesigned Xbox 360 taking the first spot in the hardware chart for North America while Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty managed to take the top spot in the video game chart with just 2 days of sales.
